Fàilte! My name is Ingie, I’m 26 and a student of Ethnology and Folklore.
I study informal traditional culture, the inherited connection between our human selves and the spaces we occupy. Our physical, psychological and spiritual state as an elucidation of place, time and connection.
My aim on this site is to epitomise this knowledge into a visual or written form through essays, articles and creative work.
Specifically I am interested in ecological connection, astrological/cosmic symbolism, rhythm, coastal liminality, linguistics and sensuality.
I have an educational background in Visual arts, Horticulture and Astrology. Predominantly I am self-read and experientially educated. I write in both English and Scots.

Notable Experience
From 2020 to 2026 my life was spent living on a Hebridean island. Wedged upon the edge of the world living in a continuous liminality between Earth, Sea and Sky. I write extensively about this period of observation, surrender and deep transformation.
My late teens were disrupted with the sudden onset of a serious illness. My twenties have been a learning curve of acceptance and balance. Walking through life with disabilities and the everyday challenges of chronic illness. I aim to speak candidly on themes of regaining vitality, facing mortality and self-compassion through uncertainty.
On this blog I share my thoughts, my creativity and lessons. Simply put, this is my portfolio and wee neuk of the vast web. Most of my content is free access however I politely ask you cite my work and contact me personally if you wish to share it.
A small portion of my photographic work is available via donation only. This is not in the public digital domain.

I invite you to awaken yourself to magic, and hope you find some joy and insight in my words.
